Jan-Joost Heirremans started the match with the kick off. When Niki De Maret got free in front of the goal in the 7th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Niki De Maret blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir having to make a save. The supporters of Zwart Kaarsvet FC booed when FC Voske was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacq Van der Roost didn't get a good kick on the ball. Philippe-Arnaud Bosmans hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. FC Voske's Jan-Joost Heirremans got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Zwart Kaarsvet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Joost Heirremans came free, but Tony Coosemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Niki De Maret kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Niki De Maret got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tony Coosemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Lyens, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the game, Jan-Joost Heirremans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Voske's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zwart Kaarsvet FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, FC Voske's Jan-Joost Heirremans got a free kick in the 36th minute. If Rocky Persoens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Niki De Maret sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niki De Maret was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Jan-Joost Heirremans managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Voske's supporters rose to their feet, but Jan-Joost Heirremans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Coosemans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Zwart Kaarsvet FC's Tony Coosemans got control of the ball when Rocky Persoens tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Jacq Van der Roost hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Coosemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Joost Heirremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68th play minutes Niki De Maret shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the FC Voske defense, Per-Olof Bergstedt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir. The FC Voske fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir should have stopped the shot. Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niki De Maret, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niki De Maret in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir saved FC Voske from getting behind. If Rocky Persoens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, FC Voske's goal looked a bit too open when Niki De Maret came free, but Georges-Philippe Dobbeleir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Voske's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
