After a rather tough play, GentFC's Sebastian Zyskowski got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the match, SVL Storm 05's Renaud Van Arschot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hudson Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, SVL Storm 05's goalkeeper Jeremey Van den Gans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brent-Jan Van de cauter. In the 10thth minute of the game Renaud Van Arschot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GentFC's Hudson Costa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renaud Van Arschot in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hudson Costa saved GentFC from getting behind. With a little luck, SVL Storm 05's Jeremey Van den Gans got control of the ball when Brent-Jan Van de cauter tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Renaud Van Arschot managed to get in a good position for a shot. SVL Storm 05's supporters rose to their feet, but Renaud Van Arschot was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hudson Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. GentFC's Hudson Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renaud Van Arschot in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pino Verelst in the 18th minute of play forced GentFC's goalkeeper Hudson Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Renaud Van Arschot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hudson Costa was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. SVL Storm 05's Renaud Van Arschot managed to work through GentFC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. In the 26th minute, Leon Vrolijcx got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Renaud Van Arschot's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hudson Costa was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as GentFC's Brent-Jan Van de cauter slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jeremey Van den Gans. That made the score 1-1 after 30 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the match, GentFC's Brent-Jan Van de cauter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremey Van den Gans narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SVL Storm 05's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Brent-Jan Van de cauter scored to the left of an out of position Jeremey Van den Gans, making the score, 2-1. Hudson Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim-Alexander Van Gestelt in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Renaud Van Arschot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SVL Storm 05's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renaud Van Arschot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Van Arschot in the 41st minute of play. Jeremey Van den Gans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Mergea in the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Gabriel Hjortberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GentFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SVL Storm 05 the free kick. When Pino Verelst came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SVL Storm 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pino Verelst couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renaud Van Arschot was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Renaud Van Arschot in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hudson Costa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the match, Renaud Van Arschot dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hudson Costa, 2-2. GentFC's 史永浩 was substituted for Sebastian Zyskowski. In the 61st minute, Fred De Marrez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 played minutes SVL Storm 05 got a freekick which was hit by Giovanny Van de Velde. Jeremey Van den Gans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent-Jan Van de cauter, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renaud Van Arschot in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hudson Costa saved GentFC from getting behind. Hudson Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim-Alexander Van Gestelt in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by SVL Storm 05's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tugay Kerimoglu was slow to take the kick. During this time GentFC's players had a chance to rest. Hudson Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renaud Van Arschot in the 78th minute of play. Hudson Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leon Vrolijcx, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Hudson Costa made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Maxim-Alexander Van Gestelt sent off a good shot on target. Hudson Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renaud Van Arschot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferdinand Mergea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jeremey Van den Gans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The SVL Storm 05 players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
