Spectators: 8451 (Terracing: 6339, Seating: 1943, VIP seats: 169) SK Dreigoten's Michael Wirinckx started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Michael Wirinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, VC Merchtem's Rajmond Van den Brul got a free kick in the 7th minute. Filiph Klemensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Wirinckx in the 10th minute of play. Filiph Klemensson was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Michael Wirinckx capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Michael Wirinckx really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 15th minute of the match, Michael Wirinckx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filiph Klemensson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Michael Wirinckx did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Filiph Klemensson 18 minutes into the match. VC Merchtem's Filiph Klemensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save VC Merchtem from getting a goal against them. Filiph Klemensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathieu Toussain in the 24th minute. Mathieu Toussain received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filiph Klemensson came out and tried to block the shot, but Mathieu Toussain slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. The supporters of VC Merchtem booed when SK Dreigoten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Binjamin Ketelers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Díaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Vuerinx in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mathieu Toussain got free with Filiph Klemensson in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of VC Merchtem:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SK Dreigoten:s goal. 4-0 came through a penalty shot after 37 played minutes, when SK Dreigoten:s Mathieu Toussain calmly waited for VC Merchtem:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Mathieu Toussain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Filiph Klemensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Dreigoten's Marcos Díaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ignace Stroobans in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vladimiro Rozarius to make the kick off. When SK Dreigoten's Michael Wirinckx in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Binjamin Ketelers in the 85th minute of play forced VC Merchtem's goalkeeper Filiph Klemensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in VC Merchtem's zone, Michael Wirinckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filiph Klemensson came out of the goal and Michael Wirinckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathieu Toussain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filiph Klemensson having to interfere. SK Dreigoten's Arnout Worteleers got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SK Dreigoten's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
