With a little luck, Kosovo's Ante Jagodić got control of the ball when Alexei Tariković tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Kosovo's goalkeeper Ante Jagodić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hazir Burzamović. Hazir Burzamović received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ante Jagodić came out and tried to block the shot, but Hazir Burzamović slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. Alexei Tariković struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Ante Jagodić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Željeznicar. Ante Jagodić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tajko Milić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Hazir Burzamović hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tajko Milić made a kick off. After some careless play in the Kosovo defense, Tajko Milić kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ante Jagodić. The Kosovo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ante Jagodić should have stopped the shot. Kosovo's Ante Jagodić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tajko Milić in the 62nd minute of play. Antonello Piattelli struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Edževid Matić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kosovo. Ante Jagodić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexei Tariković, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Alexei Tariković recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Piattelli took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edževid Matić. Edževid Matić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Željeznicar's Tajko Milić got a free kick in the 78th minute. Many of Kosovo's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Kosovo may have spent more time on the ball, but Željeznicar were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
