Spectators: 7645 (Terracing: 5735, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Günter Nießen kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd match minute, Griechenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Czaika to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SV Salzburg getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Georg Schubert hit a great ball. Wolfram Elias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andre Gabe in the 9th minute. The Griechenberg fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Griechenberg's Günter Nießen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When SV Salzburg's Andre Gabe in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Wolfram Elias guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. In the 19th minute Günter Nießen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaas Heilleck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Günter Nießen sped through SV Salzburg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Klaas Heilleck. Wolfram Elias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Kludig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Günter Nießen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Klaas Heilleck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Griechenberg's Ralph Bothe got a free kick in the 40th minute. Andre Gabe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wolfram Elias came out and tried to block the shot, but Andre Gabe slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 41st minute. Klaas Heilleck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günter Nießen in the 46th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alexander Kludig stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Klaas Heilleck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kilian Kirchberg in the 54th minute of play. After having played for 56 minutes, Kilian Kirchberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Griechenberg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kilian Kirchberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Griechenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Andre Gabe came free, but Wolfram Elias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Klaas Heilleck managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Griechenberg's Günter Nießen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Griechenberg booed when SV Salzburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steffen Degener didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patrick Appel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexander Kludig took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wolfram Elias. Wolfram Elias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After 78 played minutes Griechenberg got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Bothe. 79 minutes into the match, Griechenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Alexander Kludig came free, but Wolfram Elias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Günter Nießen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Griechenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Günter Nießen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaas Heilleck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Günter Nießens short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Klaas Heilleck to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 85th minute, Kilian Kirchberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Günter Nießen struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Klaas Heilleck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Griechenberg. A hard shot 91 in the game by Günter Nießen from a close distance when the talented Klaas Heilleck managed to make a qualified save. SV Salzburg's players were relieved. The SV Salzburg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Griechenberg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
