After 6 played minutes Saagerberg FSV got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Thoma. Pascal Döbbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th minute, Kay Hoyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yanick Hemmel, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saagerberg FSV's goalkeeper Bernd Schulte, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Sebastian Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jo Kärgel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedikt Metzler saved IG Steak am Lagerfeuer from getting behind. Jo Kärgel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Jannick Tritz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IG Steak am Lagerfeuer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saagerberg FSV the free kick. Jannick Tritz kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Jo Kärgel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jo Kärgel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benedikt Metzler having to make a save. In the 27thth minute of the game Sebastian Wolf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but IG Steak am Lagerfeuer's Benedikt Metzler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Thoma during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jonas Thoma kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, IG Steak am Lagerfeuer's Ralf Deiker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernd Schulte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 35 minutes of play, Saagerberg FSV's Jo Kärgel made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedikt Metzler was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute Pascal Döbbe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernd Schulte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pascal Döbbe was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to IG Steak am Lagerfeuer getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Fabio Janßen hit a great ball. Saagerberg FSV's Jonas Thoma shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 53rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benedikt Metzler but with some difficulty. In the 57th match minute, Saagerberg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Moritz Hergt to maneuver through the defense. Ralf Deiker might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernd Schulte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ralf Deiker ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sebastian Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute of the match David Wittbusch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernd Schulte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Pascal Döbbe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IG Steak am Lagerfeuer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Döbbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernd Schulte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascal Döbbe in the 74th minute of play. The supporters of IG Steak am Lagerfeuer booed when Saagerberg FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kay Hoyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Saagerberg FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kay Hoyer to maneuver through the defense. Benedikt Metzler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jo Kärgel, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in IG Steak am Lagerfeuer's zone, Sebastian Wolf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedikt Metzler came out of the goal and Sebastian Wolf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jo Kärgel succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Sebastian Wolf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedikt Metzler having to interfere. Saagerberg FSV's Jo Kärgel got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Saagerberg FSV had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
