Spectators: 7811 (Terracing: 5860, Seating: 1796, VIP seats: 155) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Günter Albermann got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Manfred Mauderer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Podgora FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfred Mauderer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Podgora FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Julian Weischede hit a great ball. Nils Theiss hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Manfred Mauderer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Schulte having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Günter Albermann in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernd Schulte saved Saagerberg FSV from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Manfred Mauderer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Podgora FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Manfred Mauderer took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernd Schulte. Bernd Schulte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Konrad Becker kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Bernd Schulte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Mauderer in the 47th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jo Kärgel to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Patrik Michel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernd Schulte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 53rd minute, Gerhard Geiblinger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd Schulte was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 57th minute, Manfred Mauderer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Podgora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jo Kärgel came free, but Alex Schröder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Saagerberg FSV's goalkeeper Bernd Schulte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manfred Mauderer. Manfred Mauderer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Bernd Schulte made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Konrad Becker during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Konrad Becker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Saagerberg FSV's Kay Hoyer got a free kick in the 73rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Mauderer got free with Bernd Schulte in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Günter Albermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Schulte having to interfere. Jo Kärgel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Schröder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Manfred Mauderer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Bernd Schulte was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 83rd minute, Konrad Becker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernd Schulte stood somewhat misplaced when Günter Albermann came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 86 minute. In the 90th minute Günter Albermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernd Schulte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Mauderer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Bernd Schulte made a huge save. Podgora FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
