Kim Geiblinger might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niko Vanek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kim Geiblinger ran back to his position shaking his head. Kim Geiblinger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niko Vanek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute Kim Geiblinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niko Vanek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niko Vanek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Geiblinger in the 20th minute of play. Dominik Mühlenbruch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Häming struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Sascha Kainzner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burgstall. 27 minutes into the match, FC Sammy's Kim Geiblinger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Niko Vanek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Kim Geiblinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, FC Sammy's Dominik Mühlenbruch dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Kim Geiblinger came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the FC Sammy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Geiblinger couldn't finish the play. Sascha Kainzner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Häming, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game was made by Max Lainer with Robin Häming as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a defensive mix-up in FC Sammy's zone, Till Mettgen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sascha Kainzner came out of the goal and Till Mettgen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sascha Kainzner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robin Häming, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 59th minute, Kim Geiblinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justin Aufhauser got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Robin Häming. Niko Vanek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Geiß in the 75th minute of the match. Kim Geiblinger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Niko Vanek having to make a save. Kim Geiblinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Niko Vanek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Häming got free with Sascha Kainzner in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Roland Geiß managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Burgstall's goalkeeper Niko Vanek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Sammy fully deserved thier win.
