Klaudius Lederer's late challenge caught a Weidenholz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klaudius Lederer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Klaudius Lederer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klaus Steppkes in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steffen Rose prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10th minute, Bastian Herzog fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Benjamin Lazu struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Klaas Franzen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kärnten. Bastian Herzog was extremely unlucky when he, in the 14th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Klaas Franzen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bastian Herzog in the 15th minute of the match. Klaas Franzen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bastian Herzog showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. When Christopher Marchl came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Weidenholz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christopher Marchl couldn't finish the play. Torsten Maidorn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Klaus Steppkes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Kärnten's Steffen Rose. Steffen Rose was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christopher Marchl in the 32nd minute of play forced FC Kärnten's goalkeeper Steffen Rose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klaas Franzen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Lazu in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes, Torsten Maidorn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Weidenholz and the FC Kärnten players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Weidenholz got a freekick which was hit by Torsten Maidorn. FC Kärnten's Benjamin Lazu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 36th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 40 minutes into the game, Benjamin Lazu lined in a short shot 3-1 behind a frustrated Klaas Franzen. Benjamin Lazu might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klaas Franzen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Lazu ran back to his position shaking his head. Klaas Franzen made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Benjamin Lazu sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Klaus Steppkes made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Lazu in the 52nd minute of play forced Weidenholz's goalkeeper Klaas Franzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Bastian Herzog notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Weidenholz's Klaas Franzen. Klaas Franzen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. During the 59th minute of the match Torsten Maidorn completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Torsten Maidorn a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Bastian Herzog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaas Franzen was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 74th match minute, Weidenholz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Haase to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Roman Frank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 77 minutes, Sascha Mörz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kärnten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sascha Mörz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Lazu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Kärnten booed when Weidenholz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Kitzbichler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Benjamin Lazu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kärnten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lazu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benjamin Lazu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benjamin Lazu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benjamin Lazu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the FC Kärnten players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
