Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erik Haar started the match with the kick off. Roman Bovenschen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Hansjörg Lautsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Elsarn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nico-Paul Eshun to maneuver through the defense. Hansjörg Lautsch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Bovenschen in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roman Bovenschen in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hansjörg Lautsch saved Elsarn from getting behind. Ralf-Joachim Heinicke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hansjörg Lautsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Bovenschen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Hansjörg Lautsch 21 minutes into the match. Lions's Roman Bovenschen got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ralf-Joachim Heinicke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hansjörg Lautsch made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ralf-Joachim Heinicke in the 30th minute. Hansjörg Lautsch stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roman Bovenschen's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Roman Bovenschen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hansjörg Lautsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th match minute, Elsarn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobi Horneber to maneuver through the defense. Tim Fischer hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Hansjörg Lautsch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roman Bovenschen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Achim Peterknecht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Hansjörg Lautsch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Bovenschen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hansjörg Lautsch having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Bovenschen was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Tobi Horneber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elsarn and the Lions players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes Elsarn got a freekick which was hit by Tobi Horneber. Roman Bovenschen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Haar hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Roman Bovenschen scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hansjörg Lautsch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hansjörg Lautsch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bovenschen, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Achim Peterknecht recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Roman Bovenschen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hansjörg Lautsch was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd minute Roman Bovenschen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hansjörg Lautsch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hansjörg Lautsch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achim Peterknecht in the 83rd minute of play. Erik Haar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Leo-Jan Müller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert Quednau scored 5-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hansjörg Lautsch, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 97 minutes, Robert Quednau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions and the Elsarn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Elsarn booed when Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Quednau didn't get a good kick on the ball.
