Bierussia Dortmund's Frank Hoppe suffered a sprained foot after 3 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Achim Trapp charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Achim Trapp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bierussia Dortmund's Jonas Köstner was substituted for Frank Hoppe. Achim Trapp kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Edgar Stromann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bierussia Dortmund's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Stromann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thom Nelson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 21 played minutes FC Hurricane got a freekick which was hit by Achim Trapp. In the 25th minute, Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Christoph Rohe. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 36th minute Edgar Stromann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thom Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christoph Rohe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 44th match minute, FC Hurricane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthäus Kahofer to maneuver through the defense. Sascha Peintner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thom Nelson. FC Hurricane's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Hurricane's Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Tobias Kranz in the 47 minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Stromann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes FC Hurricane got a freekick which was hit by Matthäus Kahofer. Tim Theinert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Edgar Stromann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thom Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Andre Engberts came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Bierussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Engberts couldn't finish the play. In the 80th minute Edgar Stromann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thom Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christoph Rohe saved Bierussia Dortmund from getting behind. Christoph Rohe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Oliver Rudersdorfer in the 90th minute of the match. Andre Engberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thom Nelson having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Hurricane had won after a very even match.
