Barritos Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Varanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Congleton's zone, Paulo Teive stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Sá came out of the goal and Paulo Teive tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 16th match minute, Congleton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Zamora to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Paulo Teive managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barritos Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Teive was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Paulo Varanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barritos Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Varanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Teive in the 25th minute of play forced Congleton's goalkeeper Miguel Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barritos Fc were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Congleton's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Albertino Gonçalves took the corner. Congleton's Flavio Quilempan managed to work through Barritos Fc's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Flavio Quilempan dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Toni Flores hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Barritos Fc's Fábio Samakuva got a free kick in the 44th minute.

The wind increased when Paulo Teive made the kick off in the second half. Miguel Sá had great luck who in the 51stth minute grab hold of the ball when Paulo Teive from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After having played for 54 minutes, Paulo Varanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barritos Fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Varanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavio Quilempan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Felíx Preto was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Rui Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flavio Quilempan , even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Congleton's Miguel Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Congleton from getting a goal against them. Flavio Quilempan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes Barritos Fc got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Amado. After a defensive mix-up in Barritos Fc's zone, Flavio Quilempan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Guedes came out of the goal and Flavio Quilempan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Paulo Teive hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Barritos Fc's Albertino Gonçalves got a free kick in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Henrique Serineu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congleton's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrique Serineu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Guedes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 83 minutes, Flavio Quilempan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Paulo Varanda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barritos Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Varanda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Congleton's goalkeeper Miguel Sá, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miguel Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Varanda in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
