When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique Serineu made a kick off. Balduíno Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A very good chance for a goal. If Balduíno Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Balduíno Fonseca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Miguel Sá was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 89 minutes into the match, Henrique Serineu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edmundo Fontão, 1-4. 92 minutes into the game, Whitby's Balduíno Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. After having played for 96 minutes, Balduíno Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Balduíno Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Sá having to interfere. Although Whitby had been in control for most of the match, Congleton still came away with the win.
