Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Simões got free with Carlos Serineu in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute Edmundo Chafes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viveque Montinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Teta Pedrosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Viveque Montinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viveque Montinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Chafes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipólito Lourenço in the 20th minute of play forced Braunton's goalkeeper Carlos Serineu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Balduíno Areosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Serineu having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Braunton got a freekick which was hit by Neide Valies. Pompílio Areosa kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Fábio Moco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Morpeth's Viveque Montinho didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Chafes in the 35th minute of play forced Morpeth's goalkeeper Viveque Montinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Teta Pedrosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes, Maurício Curvelo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Morpeth and the Braunton players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurício Curvelo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Teta Pedrosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Braunton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teta Pedrosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viveque Montinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teta Pedrosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Viveque Montinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teta Pedrosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Morpeth players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Braunton were winning 0-1.

Balduíno Areosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morpeth's Balduíno Areosa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Morpeth's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fábio Moco was slow to take the kick. During this time Braunton's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Fábio Moco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Viveque Montinho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Morpeth's Viveque Montinho got control of the ball when Edmundo Chafes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmundo Chafes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viveque Montinho having to interfere. Pompílio Areosa's late challenge caught a Braunton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompílio Areosa helped the player get up and apologised. Edmundo Chafes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viveque Montinho having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Braunton's goal looked a bit too open when Balduíno Areosa came free, but Carlos Serineu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, one of Morpeth:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Morpeth. In the 98th minute of the match, Edmundo Chafes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Viveque Montinho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Morpeth's defense didn't have a chance, in the 98th minute, when Edmundo Chafes scored to the left of an out of position Viveque Montinho, making the score, 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Braunton had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
