In the 14thth minute of the game João Carlos Firmino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammersmith's Rodrigo Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Flavio Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute, Albertino Lando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélio Serineu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Nascimento in the 21st minute of the match. Rodrigo Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Firmino 's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Hammersmith's zone, Teta Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Jacinto came out of the goal and Teta Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Berkhamsted fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hammersmith had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
