Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hipólito Lourenço kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Flavio Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammersmith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavio Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 7th play minutes Flavio Nascimento shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Viveque Montinho and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 10th minute, Balduíno Areosa made a precise shot to the right of Rodrigo Jacinto. Hammersmith's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Rodrigo Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balduíno Areosa in the 13th minute. Viveque Montinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Galão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viveque Montinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Galão in the 29th minute of play. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hammersmith! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Vítor Galão made the kick off in the second half. When Eduardo Simões came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Morpeth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eduardo Simões couldn't finish the play. Rodrigo Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipólito Lourenço in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Balduíno Areosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Jacinto. Hammersmith's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Balduíno Areosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Morpeth's zone, Vítor Galão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viveque Montinho came out of the goal and Vítor Galão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Nascimento in the 65th minute of play forced Morpeth's goalkeeper Viveque Montinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Vítor Galão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 68th minute, Flavio Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viveque Montinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Viveque Montinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Galão in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hammersmith's goalkeeper Rodrigo Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Amado's late challenge caught a Morpeth's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camilo Amado helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hammersmith's Camilo Amado got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 84th minute Hipólito Lourenço shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viveque Montinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Nascimento in the 86th minute. If Vítor Galão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Hammersmith players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
