Evaristo Camarinha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Sebastián Fontão sped through FUEGO FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Evaristo Camarinha. In the 20th minute of the match Zé Lourenço sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evaristo Camarinha skillfully saved the ball. Jorge Manarte came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by FUEGO FC's Carlos Areosa. But to his dismay, Carlos Areosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Jorge Manarte made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Carlos Areosa sent off a good shot on target. Edgar Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Zamora in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Camarinha saved FUEGO FC from getting behind. The supporters of Bentworth booed when FUEGO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Varanda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Zamora struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Evaristo Camarinha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bentworth. The supporters of Bentworth booed when FUEGO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nito Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Camarinha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neide Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Camarinha having to interfere. Bentworth's Jorge Manarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Bentworth from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teta Mendes made a kick off. Jorge Manarte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teta Mendes in the 53rd minute of play. Bentworth's Jorge Manarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Areosa in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FUEGO FC's zone, Edgar Zamora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Camarinha came out of the goal and Edgar Zamora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 79 minutes, Neide Mendes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bentworth and the FUEGO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastián Fontão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Camarinha having to interfere. Carlos Areosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Jorge Manarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Bentworth booed when FUEGO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Barreiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FUEGO FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bentworth's performance. The match ended with a win for Bentworth.
