Spectators: 6946 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Sebastián Fontão made the kick off which started today's match. After a defensive mix-up in Penistone City's zone, Sebastián Fontão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Barreiros came out of the goal and Sebastián Fontão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Penistone City's Teodoro Quilempan got a free kick in the 8th minute. Jorge Manarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompílio De Matos in the 12th minute of the match. Penistone City's David Barreiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastián Fontão in the 20th minute of play. Edgar Zamora's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Barreiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When Edgar Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Bentworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Zamora couldn't finish the play. David Barreiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Fontão in the 30th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Bentworth's Delmano Bastos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Penistone City! Jorge Manarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ailton Amado, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ailton Amado made a kick off. Sebastián Fontão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastián Fontão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Barreiros having to interfere. Afonso Dos Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Afonso Dos Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Penistone City getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Afonso Dos Santos hit a great ball. In the 69th minute Sebastián Fontão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Barreiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Dos Santos hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Edgar Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Barreiros having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Fontão in the 75th minute of play forced Penistone City's goalkeeper David Barreiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Penistone City's Pompílio De Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Manarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pompílio De Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pompílio De Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bentworth's Neide Mendes got a free kick in the 91st minute. Pompílio De Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Penistone City players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Bentworth from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
