Marcelo Lentilha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Eastfield's zone, Cláudio Dos Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Duarte came out of the goal and Cláudio Dos Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hector Manarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Duarte having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Boscastle's goalkeeper Marcelo Lentilha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emílio Fontão . In the 13th minute, Toni Caetano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Lentilha. The goal made the score 1-0. Hector Manarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Cláudio Dos Santos put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luís Duarte. 36 minutes into the match, Hector Manarte notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Eastfield's Luís Duarte. Luís Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcelo Lentilha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a rather tough play, Eastfield's Saúl Correia got a free kick in the 47th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Eastfield's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Dos Santos came free, but Luís Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cláudio Dos Santos got free with Luís Duarte in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the match, Cláudio Dos Santos notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Eastfield's Luís Duarte. Luís Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Eastfield's Luís Duarte got control of the ball when Cláudio Dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute, Cláudio Dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Boscastle supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Boscastle would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
