The Botafogo da Angola fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Alda Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute Lopo Malafaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Serineu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alda Gonçalves in the 37th minute of play forced Tubarões CF's goalkeeper Simão Serineu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ambrósio Felício made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alão Fontão in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Lopo Malafaia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simão Serineu. Tubarões CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lopo Malafaia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alão Fontão made the kick off in the second half. Luís Preto charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Preto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 53rd minute of the match Neide Dikaté shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ambrósio Felício showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Heitor Barreiros kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Botafogo da Angola getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vítor Russo hit a great ball. Ambrósio Felício showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alão Fontão in the 65th minute of the match. Alão Fontão struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Ambrósio Felício didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tubarões CF. A beautiful save bye Tubarões CF's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Alda Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo da Angola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alda Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match was over Botafogo da Angola could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tubarões CF throughout the match.
