Spectators: 6939 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1939, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nito Lourenço kicked off to start the match. Fábio Amado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Evaristo Regalado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nito Lourenço in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Evaristo Regalado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 9 minutes, Fábio Amado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Folkestone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fábio Amado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Bouça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fábio Amado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Folkestone's Miguel Bouça got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Miguel Lima Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Valies in the 26th minute of play. Miguel Varanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Miguel Lima Clemente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Paulo Valies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Cláudio Matta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nuno Dikaté had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Galão hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 41 played minutes Folkestone got a freekick which was hit by Saúl Dos Santos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Varanda in the 45th minute of play forced Folkestone's goalkeeper Miguel Lima Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Miguel Varanda fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Lima Clemente, passed just outside the right post. In the 53rd minute, FC VALENTES's Paulo Valies dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When Miguel Varanda came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the FC VALENTES fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Varanda couldn't finish the play. Miguel Lima Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Valies, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Folkestone's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlos Rebello was slow to take the kick. During this time FC VALENTES's players had a chance to rest. FC VALENTES's Carlos Rebello was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miguel Lima Clemente in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Folkestone's Miguel Bouça got a free kick in the 68th minute. When Paulo Valies, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 74 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Miguel Lima Clemente was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Miguel Varanda had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Lima Clemente. Folkestone's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Varanda was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
