Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Hipólito Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ebley FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipólito Fonseca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Regalado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ebley FC booed when FC VALENTES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Valies didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Miguel Varanda cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Saúl Novais was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Miguel Varanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. Evaristo Regalado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebley FC. 42 minutes into the game, one of FC VALENTES:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Evaristo Regalado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Heitor Mendes went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Paulo Valies made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Ebley FC defense, Miguel Varanda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saúl Novais. The Ebley FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saúl Novais should have stopped the shot. Saúl Novais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Valies, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 60 played minutes Ebley FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Dikaté. After a defensive mix-up in Ebley FC's zone, Paulo Valies stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saúl Novais came out of the goal and Paulo Valies tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hipólito Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Ebley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipólito Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Saúl Novais came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC VALENTES's Paulo Valies. But to his dismay, Paulo Valies quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. Saúl Novais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Varanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Hipólito Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Evaristo Regalado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Varanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ebley FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC VALENTES.
