Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hove AFC's Paulo Akwa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hove AFC's goalkeeper Alda De Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 7 minutes, Edmundo Galão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hove AFC and the Great Yarmouth players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Hove AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Great Yarmouth:s goal. When the match had been going on for 8 minutes, Great Yarmouth's Alda Cunha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alda De Matos. Alão Caneças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Rebello in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Nascimento in the 20th minute of play forced Hove AFC's goalkeeper Alda De Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Hove AFC's goalkeeper Alda De Matos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evaristo Savimbi. In the 28th minute, Simão Nascimento fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 30th minute, Custódio Odemira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alda De Matos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henrique Clérigo. 34 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Akwa came free, but Alão Caneças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alão Caneças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Rebello in the 37th minute of the match. Simão Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alda De Matos having to interfere. Evaristo Savimbi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Alda De Matos made a huge save. If Simão Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 52 minutes of play, Great Yarmouth's Simão Nascimento made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alda De Matos was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Great Yarmouth's Simão Nascimento in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hove AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Great Yarmouth's Alão Caneças proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Great Yarmouth from getting a goal against them. Simão Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alda De Matos having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Teta Mantorras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Great Yarmouth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hove AFC the free kick. Teta Mantorras kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Alda De Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teta Mantorras in the 65th minute of play. When Great Yarmouth's Simão Nascimento in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hove AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Vítor Rebello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Great Yarmouth's Simão Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Evaristo Savimbi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alda De Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrique Clérigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, one of Hove AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hove AFC. The referee gave Great Yarmouth a penalty, 85 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alda Cunha, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hove AFC's Alda De Matos. 3-0. Alda De Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Savimbi's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The supporters of Great Yarmouth booed when Hove AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélio Carvoeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Alda De Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Great Yarmouth. 95 minutes into the match, Simão Nascimento had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alda De Matos. Hove AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Simão Nascimento was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Great Yarmouth had won after a very even match.
