Spectators: 9224 (Terracing: 6919, Seating: 2122, VIP seats: 183) Viveque Matta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Skelmersdale's goalkeeper Viveque Matta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolando Fernandes Braga. When Fábio Montoia came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Skelmersdale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Montoia couldn't finish the play. Carlos Valies recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Skelmersdale defense, Custódio Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Viveque Matta. The Skelmersdale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Viveque Matta should have stopped the shot. Hector Dikaté didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Valies went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Carlos Valies struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Hector Dikaté didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skelmersdale. In the 31st minute, Flavio Canales made a precise shot to the right of Viveque Matta. Skelmersdale's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Viveque Matta was a little too slow when Rolando Fernandes Braga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 3-1. After 47 played minutes Skelmersdale got a freekick which was hit by David Samakuva.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolando Fernandes Braga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Miguel Vila-Santa came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Skelmersdale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Vila-Santa couldn't finish the play. Rolando Fernandes Braga scored 4-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viveque Matta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whittlesey FC's goalkeeper Hector Dikaté, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos Valies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Hector Dikaté tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Miguel Vila-Santa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skelmersdale's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Vila-Santa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Dikaté breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rolando Fernandes Braga scored 5-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viveque Matta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Custódio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Skelmersdale's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Skelmersdale may have spent more time on the ball, but Whittlesey FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
