The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gazi Özakay in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodney Thornton saved Tiki Taka Barcelona from getting behind. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Gazi Özakay sped through Tiki Taka Barcelona's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rodney Thornton. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gazi Özakay in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodney Thornton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Tiki Taka Barcelona defense, Gazi Özakay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodney Thornton. The Tiki Taka Barcelona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodney Thornton should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Damien Dewhirst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brad Boothroyd ran back to his position shaking his head. When Kristopher Rawlings fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiki Taka Barcelona's protests and gave Kristopher Rawlings a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liverpool F.C. booed when Tiki Taka Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristopher Rawlings didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gazi Özakay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Rodney Thornton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gazi Özakay in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodney Thornton saved Tiki Taka Barcelona from getting behind. After the first half Liverpool F.C. were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gazi Özakay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodney Thornton stood somewhat misplaced when Gazi Özakay came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 56 minute. 64 minutes into the match, Liverpool F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Brad Boothroyd came free, but Colin Caine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Kristopher Rawlings sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Colin Caine skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gazi Özakay got free with Rodney Thornton in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liverpool F.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
