Stu Spink ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zak Thorn's late challenge caught a Budleigh Salterton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zak Thorn helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Andorra F.C got a freekick which was hit by Zak Thorn. Aaron Philpott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Bond having to interfere. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Budleigh Salterton's goalkeeper Alan Simms, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute Perry Hawke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Simms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Budleigh Salterton defense, Johnathan Clarkson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alan Simms. The Budleigh Salterton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Simms should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Andorra F.C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Barney Cartwright hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Perry Hawke ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alan Simms was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Aaron Philpott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jools Beard to strike the kick off in the second half. Budleigh Salterton's Aaron Philpott got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Budleigh Salterton fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Budleigh Salterton's Jools Beard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th minute, Jools Beard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ian Bond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Philpott, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Jools Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ian Bond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Budleigh Salterton's Alan Simms played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathan Clarkson in the 71st minute of play. Stephen Moyse charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stephen Moyse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Budleigh Salterton getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Stephen Moyse hit a great ball. Ronan Cole's shot from long distance in the 73rd minute was not bad at all, but Budleigh Salterton's Alan Simms knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Perry Hawke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Perry Hawke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Simms having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Johnathan Clarkson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alan Simms. That made the score 2-3 in the 85 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Budleigh Salterton's Stephen Moyse got a free kick in the 91st minute. The Andorra F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Andorra F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
