Spectators: 6951 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1951, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pierce Shackleton got the match started through his kick off. Wally Avery stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mike Lineker's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 4th match minute, Chelsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brad Illingworth to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Jim Blueman made a precise shot to the right of Wally Avery. Chelsea's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Jim Blueman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Avery having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Llorts's zone, Sol Pritchard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Newman came out of the goal and Sol Pritchard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wally Avery didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mike Lineker went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 25thth minute of the game Jim Blueman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chelsea's Wally Avery was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kieran Newman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pierce Shackleton in the 32nd minute of play. Wally Avery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Lineker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Mike Lineker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wally Avery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kieran Newman made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Sol Pritchard sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mike Lineker to make the kick off. Wally Avery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Lineker in the 52nd minute of play. Franz Slater kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Lineker in the 54th minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Wally Avery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Sol Pritchard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dave Scargill charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Kieran Newman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierce Shackleton in the 71st minute of the match. Jim Blueman scored 0-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wally Avery, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kieran Newman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sol Pritchard in the 83rd minute of play. Antony Dryden hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When Sol Pritchard fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chelsea's protests and gave Sol Pritchard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 91st minute, Sol Pritchard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jim Blueman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Jim Blueman could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Wally Avery however easily saved by the left post.
