Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lindo Mabele started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Mawetu Kubheka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Mamphokgo's Patrick Nhlapo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lindo Mabele in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute William Kolwa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxwell Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismail Modipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vlakpan's Maxwell Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismail Modipa in the 17th minute of play. Patrick Nhlapo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindo Mabele in the 18th minute of play. Patrick Nhlapo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lindo Mabele in the 24th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Ismail Modipa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maxwell Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ismail Modipa came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the FC Mamphokgo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismail Modipa couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Vlakpan's Lindo Mabele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Nhlapo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Patrick Nhlapo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lindo Mabele, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Raymond Sephadi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vlakpan's supporters rose to their feet, but Raymond Sephadi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Nhlapo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 42 minutes, Lindo Mabele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vlakpan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lindo Mabele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boyisana Mahlangu made a kick off. Lindo Mabele struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Patrick Nhlapo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlakpan. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Mamphokgo's Boyisana Mahlangu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maxwell Nunes. That made the score 1-2 after 56 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lindo Mabele in the 60th minute of play forced FC Mamphokgo's goalkeeper Patrick Nhlapo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismail Modipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxwell Nunes having to interfere. Boyisana Mahlangu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxwell Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After 70 played minutes Vlakpan got a freekick which was hit by Johannes Radebe. With a little luck, Vlakpan's Maxwell Nunes got control of the ball when Bernard Steyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 74thth minute of the game Boyisana Mahlangu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vlakpan's Maxwell Nunes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxwell Nunes made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Ismail Modipa sent off a good shot on target. When David Thembe fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlakpan's protests and gave David Thembe a yellow card for diving instead. Lindo Mabele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Nhlapo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lindo Mabele in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrick Nhlapo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ismail Modipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxwell Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Kolwa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 91 minutes, David Thembe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vlakpan's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Thembe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 92 played minutes FC Mamphokgo got a freekick which was hit by Jikolo Madiya. In the 93rd minute of the match Johannes Radebe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patrick Nhlapo skillfully saved the ball. Patrick Nhlapo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lindo Mabele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
