Nkosi Modipa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucky Kanku read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, one of Boegoeberg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Godfrey Zwane placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 17th match minute, Boegoeberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathibela Macheke to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Kaizer Chiefs F.C. booed when Boegoeberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jason Bartlett didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 31 played minutes Kaizer Chiefs F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nick Shongwe. If Bradley Setlaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kaizer Chiefs F.C.'s Siyabonge Patel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Kaizer Chiefs F.C. from getting a goal against them. When Joseph Mufumadi came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Kaizer Chiefs F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joseph Mufumadi couldn't finish the play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bradley Setlaba stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thabile Macheke struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Siyabonge Patel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boegoeberg. The supporters of Kaizer Chiefs F.C. booed when Boegoeberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mpenza Webb didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joseph Mufumadi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Mufumadi got free with Lucky Kanku in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joseph Mufumadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Kekana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Lucky Kanku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Boegoeberg getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mpenza Webb hit a great ball. The supporters of Boegoeberg booed when Kaizer Chiefs F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Kerns didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucky Kanku made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joseph Mufumadi in the 90th minute. Elias Magagane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Lucky Kanku made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Boegoeberg's Gary Magagane got a free kick in the 94th minute. 96 minutes in the game Godfrey Zwane got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Kaizer Chiefs F.C. were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Boegoeberg to leave the ground with a draw.
