Ruslan Kovalchuk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Borys Novychenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petro Golodyuk scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruslan Kovalchuk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petro Golodyuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Ruslan Kovalchuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Kucherevskyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Real Madrid C.F.'s zone, Anton Vovkodav stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Kucherevskyi came out of the goal and Anton Vovkodav tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anton Vovkodav blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Kucherevskyi having to make a save. When Anton Vovkodav came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Perevaljsjk FC Metalurg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Vovkodav couldn't finish the play. After the first half Real Madrid C.F. were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Borys Novychenko to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Anton Vovkodav shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Kucherevskyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Madrid C.F.'s Roman Kucherevskyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lyubomyr Kovgan in the 57th minute of play. Roman Kucherevskyi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lev Dmytryuk in the 65th minute of the match. If Borys Novychenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Borys Novychenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ruslan Kovalchuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Perevaljsjk FC Metalurg's Illja Odyntsov got a free kick in the 77th minute. Ruslan Kovalchuk was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gennadiy Myrnyi. After 79 minutes of play, Real Madrid C.F.'s Petro Golodyuk made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruslan Kovalchuk was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arsen Guk charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arsen Guk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th match minute, Real Madrid C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsen Guk to maneuver through the defense. Roman Kucherevskyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Vovkodav, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the game, Perevaljsjk FC Metalurg's Anton Vovkodav nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roman Kucherevskyi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Perevaljsjk FC Metalurg's Ruslan Kovalchuk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Perevaljsjk FC Metalurg from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Madrid C.F. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
