Gennadiy Schastlyvyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mefodiy Kolyada hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Stepan Leschuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Gennadiy Schastlyvyi made a huge save. Kherson's Matviy Semyryak got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gennadiy Schastlyvyi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Matviy Semyryak's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. If Stepan Leschuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute, Danylo Khymchenko fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Olexiy Shved, passed just outside the right post. During the 95th minute of the match Mefodiy Kolyada completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Mefodiy Kolyada a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Mefodiy Kolyada kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kherson fans cheered their team off the field, for while Torez had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
