An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Moarcăș in the 8th minute of play forced Rajletul CSS's goalkeeper Emil Țâpu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Țâpu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Moarcăș, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Arieșan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horaţiu Bala in the 15th minute of play. Viorel Croitoru came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emil Țâpu could save by the left post. Basarab Andrieșanu charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Andrieșanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Horaţiu Bala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sergiu Moarcăș made a kick off. When Horaţiu Bala came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Rajletul CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horaţiu Bala couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Rajletul CSS's Sebastian Arieșan threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pompiliu Balaban, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Horaţiu Bala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eliodor Moldoveanu came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Rajletul CSS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliodor Moldoveanu couldn't finish the play. Octav Nistor kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. When Basarab Bodnar fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trocani's protests and gave Basarab Bodnar a yellow card for diving instead. Basarab Bodnar hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the game, Horaţiu Bala recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Arieșan. Horaţiu Bala showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Trocani's zone, Horaţiu Bala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Arieșan came out of the goal and Horaţiu Bala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute Horaţiu Bala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Arieșan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pompiliu Balaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rajletul CSS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
