The Jiul Petrosani fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Codruț Martin took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristinel Nenciu. Cristinel Nenciu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Codruț Martin made a kick off. A hard shot by Zeledon Aztore from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Cristinel Nenciu's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cristinel Nenciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Martin in the 75th minute of play. Cristinel Nenciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adam Turak in the 76th minute. In the 81st minute, Petru Ababei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Ömür Oskan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. After 87 played minutes Codruț Martin rounded FC Finta's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
