When Tubinsca FC's Dorin Honciu in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CFR Cluj1907's goalie prevented a goal. 5 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj1907's goalkeeper Basarab Sitaru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dragoş Arsenescu. Basarab Sitaru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Honciu in the 17th minute of the match. Iurie Tilincă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Potoroacă in the 19th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Potoroacă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Tilincă was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After taking down the ball on Tubinsca FC's corner Iustinian Iovulescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Basarab Sitaru quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Potoroacă in the 36th minute of play forced Tubinsca FC's goalkeeper Iurie Tilincă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Tănăsescu scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iurie Tilincă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iurie Tilincă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Potoroacă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dragoş Arsenescu was the one to do the kick off. Iurie Tilincă made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Chiquinho Perez sent off a good shot on target. Tiberiu Potoroacă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Iurie Tilincă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute, CFR Cluj1907's Chiquinho Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 59 minutes into the match, Dorin Honciu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of CFR Cluj1907's Basarab Sitaru. Basarab Sitaru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tubinsca FC's Iurie Tilincă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiberiu Potoroacă in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67thth minute of the game Emil Tănăsescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tubinsca FC's Iurie Tilincă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 73rd play minute Tiberiu Potoroacă came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Iurie Tilincă. 1-3. 77 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj1907's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Honciu came free, but Basarab Sitaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes of play, Tubinsca FC's Dragoş Arsenescu made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basarab Sitaru was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Tiberiu Potoroacă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iurie Tilincă was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Atak Toydeniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Edgar Filipoiu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. A collision led to Tubinsca FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Edgar Filipoiu hit a great ball. A hard shot 89 in the game by Tiberiu Potoroacă from a close distance when the talented Iurie Tilincă managed to make a qualified save. Tubinsca FC's players were relieved. Tiberiu Potoroacă recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Iurie Tilincă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Tănăsescu in the 94th minute of play. Iurie Tilincă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiberiu Potoroacă's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. When the final whistle sounded CFR Cluj1907 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tubinsca FC.
