After 10 played minutes Steaua Libera got a freekick which was hit by Dorel Văduva. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Petre Băncilă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chitorani's supporters rose to their feet, but Petre Băncilă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Bota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mircea Ulici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adam Pociu made a kick off. Chitorani's Isac Durbacă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mircea Ulici in the 51st minute of play. Isac Durbacă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Crișan, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Mircea Ulici fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Durbacă having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Emilian Mihoc had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isac Durbacă. Chitorani's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilian Mihoc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. Isac Durbacă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. Traian Zub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isac Durbacă having to interfere. Adam Pociu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Dan Bota made a huge save. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Traian Zub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Steaua Libera players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
