Mircea Magheru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pavel Bogatu scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mircea Magheru, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Basarab Hortopan's late challenge caught a Babiciul FCM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basarab Hortopan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Babiciul FCM booed when FC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basarab Hortopan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristi Vâlcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidiu Bucur was a little too slow when Robert Tiberian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-2. Pavel Bogatu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mircea Magheru having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pavel Bogatu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mircea Magheru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Bogatu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mircea Magheru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pavel Bogatu in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihai Giurgiu during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Mihai Giurgiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Babiciul FCM were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
