The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Dragalina got free with Arrigo Sampo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeo Druță sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Spinul CSM got a freekick which was hit by Martin Boștină. If Romeo Druță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Traian Ungureanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horia Turcescu having to interfere. In the 24th minute Spinul CSM were awarded a corner. Felix Dragalina went to the cornerflag to take it. Felix Dragalina made a great header on Spinul CSM's corner, it was just that Los Bilionarios's Arrigo Sampo managed to reach the ball for a save. Felix Dragalina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arrigo Sampo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Spinul CSM's zone, Traian Ungureanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Turcescu came out of the goal and Traian Ungureanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Los Bilionarios's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Manole Pistol scored to the left of an out of position Arrigo Sampo, making the score, 1-0. When Romeo Druță fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Bilionarios's protests and gave Romeo Druță a yellow card for diving instead. After 35 played minutes Los Bilionarios got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Druță. Horia Turcescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrei Ghionaru in the 37th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

54 minutes into the match, Romeo Druță had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horia Turcescu. Spinul CSM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeo Druță was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 59 minutes, Felix Dragalina made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Bilionarios's Arrigo Sampo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Spinul CSM's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Romeo Druță fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Romeo Druță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Felix Dragalina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Sampo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 75th minute by Romeo Druță got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Spinul CSM's Horia Turcescu got control of the ball when Romeo Druță tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Spinul CSM's Cosmin Gafița got a free kick in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Spinul CSM's zone, Dorel Ghioncu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horia Turcescu came out of the goal and Dorel Ghioncu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arrigo Sampo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manole Pistol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Bilionarios's goalkeeper Arrigo Sampo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Romeo Druță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Bilionarios players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Spinul CSM.
