Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Grabanu's Bogdan Cutieru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucian Căliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Onișoru in the 5th minute of the match. Lucian Căliman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Stanomir in the 7th minute of play. Grabanu's Bogdan Cutieru got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bogdan Cutieru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Cristi Săndoi took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Octav Turbatu to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 18 minutes, Niculae Onișoru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grabanu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niculae Onișoru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bogdan Cutieru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 25 minutes, Cristi Săndoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goala AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Săndoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Mădălin Coroian in the 30th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Goala AFC's Florin Bulencea. In the 32nd minute, Marius Vlaicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Goala AFC defense, Bogdan Cutieru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucian Căliman. The Goala AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucian Căliman should have stopped the shot. Doru Ozon hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Marius Vlaicu sped through Goala AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lucian Căliman. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lucian Căliman made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Vintilă Suciu sent off a good shot on target. If Niculae Onișoru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Octav Turbatu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Coporan in the 62nd minute of the match. Mihăiţă Stanomir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lucian Căliman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucian Căliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Cutieru in the 71st minute of the match. When Marius Vlaicu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. Constantin Potra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucian Căliman firmly grabbed it by the left post. Mihăiţă Stanomir struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Lucian Căliman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grabanu. With his leg Lucian Căliman managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Grabanu's Mihăiţă Stanomir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucian Căliman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Cutieru in the 95th minute of the match. Mihăiţă Stanomir struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Lucian Căliman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grabanu. Many of Grabanu's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Grabanu may have spent more time on the ball, but Goala AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
