Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Mangalia's Matei Birișu suffered a sore foot after 3 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Ionică Hrean charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionică Hrean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ionică Hrean kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Dragusenii got a freekick which was hit by Aurelian Isaicu. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Victor Niculescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Mangalia's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Niculescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Corneliu Cigu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Octav Liciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Octav Liciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviu Oniga to make the kick off. The supporters of Dragusenii booed when FC Mangalia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Niculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Dragusenii's goalkeeper Corneliu Cigu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Niculescu. 74 minutes into the match, Mădălin Balint had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniel Lăzan. FC Mangalia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mădălin Balint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 79th minute Victor Niculescu managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Silviu Oniga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Daniel Lăzan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Silviu Oniga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silviu Oniga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Lăzan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The supporters of FC Mangalia booed when Dragusenii was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Roşu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
