Dacian Vladimirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costică Comănescu in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Argetoeni CF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Ernest Berevoescu hit a great ball. Cătălin Ţurcaş took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dacian Vladimirescu. Argetoeni CF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tomás Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Zdrenghea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. After 17 played minutes Argetoeni CF got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Teodor. Marian Lupașcu's late challenge caught a Argetoeni CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Lupașcu helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Argetoeni CF booed when Schiab FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marian Lupașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Vedat Akgöl put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gigel Zdrenghea. After 24 minutes, Ernest Berevoescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argetoeni CF and the Schiab FCM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Argetoeni CF getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Ernest Berevoescu hit a great ball. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Schiab FCM's goalkeeper Gigel Zdrenghea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Costică Comănescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dacian Vladimirescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dacian Vladimirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Colceriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Sabin Onișoru notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Schiab FCM's Gigel Zdrenghea. Gigel Zdrenghea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th match minute, Schiab FCM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pompiliu Mitrea to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doru Dobre was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Vedat Akgöl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 53 played minutes Argetoeni CF got a freekick which was hit by Vedat Akgöl. A collision led to Argetoeni CF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Irinel Popete hit a great ball. With a little luck, Argetoeni CF's Dacian Vladimirescu got control of the ball when Emanuel Colceriu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Costică Comănescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dacian Vladimirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doru Dobre in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Vladimirescu saved Argetoeni CF from getting behind. Costică Comănescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Dacian Vladimirescu made a huge save. In the 84th match minute, Argetoeni CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irinel Popete to maneuver through the defense. Schiab FCM's Cătălin Ţurcaş shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dacian Vladimirescu but with some difficulty. After 87 played minutes Argetoeni CF got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Berevoescu. In the 92nd minute of the game Marian Lupașcu made a throw-in which Ştefan Calota played forward. Argetoeni CF's Dacian Vladimirescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Argetoeni CF from getting a goal against them. Dacian Vladimirescu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Costică Comănescu sent off a good shot on target. Schiab FCM were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
