Spectators: 7424 (Terracing: 5569, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) Cazachi's Călin Mavrogheni started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FCSB's Alex Dinu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save FCSB from getting a goal against them. Ionel Mergea hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. When Muhsin Peykan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the FCSB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Muhsin Peykan couldn't finish the play. If Cristian Homescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Muhsin Peykan got in the 32nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Viorel Donose handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Cazachi's Viorel Donose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Homescu in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionel Mergea in the 42nd minute of play forced Cazachi's goalkeeper Viorel Donose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Petruț Chiriță fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cazachi's protests and gave Petruț Chiriță a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Cazachi got a freekick which was hit by Petruț Chiriță. Viorel Donose showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Homescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After 47 minutes, Gheorghe Istodor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCSB and the Cazachi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FCSB getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gheorghe Istodor hit a great ball. 48 minutes in the game, Călin Mavrogheni dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Muhsin Peykan made the kick off in the second half. Alex Dinu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorel Bulă in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Dorel Bulă notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FCSB's Alex Dinu. Alex Dinu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 59th match minute, FCSB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhsin Peykan to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute Călin Mavrogheni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Dinu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Homescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Viorel Donose made a huge save. 68 minutes into the match, FCSB's goal looked a bit too open when Dorel Bulă came free, but Alex Dinu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Homescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viorel Donose having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Mavrogheni in the 82nd minute of play forced FCSB's goalkeeper Alex Dinu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd match minute, Cazachi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ştefan Ştef to maneuver through the defense. Ionel Mergea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute Călin Mavrogheni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Dinu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dorel Bulă in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Dinu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute, Dan Cojan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cazachi had played much better football throughout.
