Spectators: 7300 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) Florin Brăescu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 played minutes CS UZU got a freekick which was hit by Vlad Topală. In the 6th match minute, CS UZU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihnea Muntean to maneuver through the defense. CS UZU's Vassilis Karapitsios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ioan Dordea in the 8th minute of play. Leonard Săndulescu took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vassilis Karapitsios. Vassilis Karapitsios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gavril Bobe made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Florin Brăescu sent off a good shot on target. CS UZU were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after F. C RAPID's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mihnea Muntean took the corner. The corner led to CS UZU's Bo Lundin getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 19 played minutes F. C RAPID got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Săndulescu. 21 minutes into the match, Florin Brăescu notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of F. C RAPID's Gavril Bobe. Gavril Bobe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 23 minutes into the match, Tudor Oroveanu notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of CS UZU's Vassilis Karapitsios. Tudor Oroveanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Karapitsios having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in CS UZU's zone, Tudor Oroveanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vassilis Karapitsios came out of the goal and Tudor Oroveanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When CS UZU's Florin Brăescu in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F. C RAPID's goalie prevented a goal. Gavril Bobe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florin Brăescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavril Bobe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucian Tase in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Brăescu in the 68th minute of play forced F. C RAPID's goalkeeper Gavril Bobe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelian Florea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Karapitsios having to interfere. Gavril Bobe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. If Leonard Săndulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Vassilis Karapitsios successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
