In the 20th minute, Strimbulici's Nicu Nae dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Samaila's Cătălin Tăzlăuanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicu Nae in the 27th minute of play. Iulian Sângeorzan charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iulian Sângeorzan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Samaila got a freekick which was hit by Iulian Sângeorzan. Cătălin Tăzlăuanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicu Nae in the 33rd minute of the match. Nicu Nae recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Florin Aanuţei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Tăzlăuanu having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Nicu Nae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicu Nae in the 46th minute of play forced Samaila's goalkeeper Cătălin Tăzlăuanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manole Siteavu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Nicu Nae's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cătălin Tăzlăuanu was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Strimbulici's Eduard Pascariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Siteavu in the 66th minute of play. After 68 minutes, Florin Aanuţei mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strimbulici and the Samaila players grew even worse after the yellow card. Strimbulici had played much better football throughout.
