The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leontin Buzincu during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alex Romaşcanu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tudor Petcu. FC POLITEHNICA TIMISOARA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Augustin Săndoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Luca Epure made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horaţiu Schiau made a kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luca Epure prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horaţiu Schiau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Tudor Petcu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Horaţiu Schiau scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tudor Petcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Horaţiu Schiau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Tudor Petcu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luca Epure didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leontin Buzincu went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
