Spectators: 7546 (Terracing: 5699, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 100) Constantin Dincă made the kick off and thus started the match. Marcu Vieru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Miulescu in the 3rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dinamo's zone, Pendekar Gombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosmin Avram came out of the goal and Pendekar Gombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pendekar Gombal in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosmin Avram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 9th minute Pendekar Gombal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cosmin Avram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marian Vernescu kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, FC Dinamo's goalkeeper Cosmin Avram had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernandão Rossi. Cosmin Avram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pendekar Gombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Pendekar Gombal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hermannstadt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pendekar Gombal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Hermannstadt's Vintilă Miclauș got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo José de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmin Avram having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pendekar Gombal in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cosmin Avram prevented the ball from getting in the gole. During the 38th minute of the match Marian Vernescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Marian Vernescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 38 played minutes FC Dinamo got a freekick which was hit by Marian Vernescu. A hard shot 39 in the game by Pendekar Gombal from a close distance when the talented Cosmin Avram managed to make a qualified save. FC Dinamo's players were relieved. Fernandão Rossi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half FC Dinamo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pendekar Gombal to make the kick off. FC Hermannstadt's attentive Fernandão Rossi managed to snatch the ball when Dragoş Aldea made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pendekar Gombal in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cosmin Avram saved FC Dinamo from getting behind. The FC Hermannstadt fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when FC Hermannstadt's Pendekar Gombal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cosmin Avram didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernandão Rossi went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With a left leg Cosmin Avram saved FC Dinamo from getting behind. If Sandu Ştefănică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the match, FC Dinamo's goal looked a bit too open when Pendekar Gombal came free, but Cosmin Avram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcu Vieru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandu Ştefănică in the 82nd minute. Vintilă Miclauș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the FC Hermannstadt players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
