Răzvan Balint came out of the goal and Aron Elefterescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aron Elefterescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Răzvan Balint having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Răchită got free with Răzvan Balint in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Necula in the 21st minute of play forced Ilia CS's goalkeeper Martin Cozorici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alexandru Busuioceanu fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ilia CS's protests and gave Alexandru Busuioceanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th minute, one of Ilia CS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ilia CS. Martin Cozorici had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Alex Mărăcuță's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alex Mărăcuță took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martin Cozorici. Ilia CS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience was convinced that Aron Elefterescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Răzvan Balint was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Necula in the 31st minute of play forced Ilia CS's goalkeeper Martin Cozorici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Răzvan Balint showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicodim Gherghescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of HaYhuY booed when Ilia CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Torouţ didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Valentin Stolniceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantin Necula struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Martin Cozorici didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HaYhuY. Răzvan Balint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicodim Gherghescu in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Aron Elefterescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilia CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Elefterescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes HaYhuY got a freekick which was hit by Mihăiţă Brânzeu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aron Elefterescu in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Răzvan Balint saved HaYhuY from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Mihăiţă Brânzeu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 90 minutes into the game, Edgar Răchită was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilia CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HaYhuY the free kick. Edgar Răchită hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
