Maxim Podgoreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th match minute, SS Ionatan Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Otopeanu to maneuver through the defense. Nistor Crăciunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mihail Joldea having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Aripile Vintului's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Crăciunescu came free, but Mihail Joldea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Aripile Vintului's zone, Maxim Podgoreanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mihail Joldea came out of the goal and Maxim Podgoreanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aripile Vintului's goalkeeper Mihail Joldea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mihail Joldea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Crăciunescu in the 68th minute of the match. In the 77th minute Nistor Crăciunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Joldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mircea Hârlab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aripile Vintului's Mihail Joldea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Crăciunescu in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Maxim Podgoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihail Joldea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nistor Crăciunescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aripile Vintului's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
