Mihnea Pomuț could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Gigi Hrușcă made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in SS Ionatan Timisoara's zone, Nae Dudea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Hrușcă came out of the goal and Nae Dudea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nae Dudea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigi Hrușcă having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as HSTBM's Nae Dudea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gigi Hrușcă. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Gigi Hrușcă made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Mihnea Pomuț sent off a good shot on target. Gigi Hrușcă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihnea Pomuț in the 43rd minute.
