The Fc DăRmĂnEşTi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iacob Crețu should have stopped the shot. Stiinta Barlad's Marin Răţescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Stiinta Barlad from getting a goal against them. Marin Răţescu made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Florin Pădure sent off a good shot on target. Alex Iacobeanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marin Răţescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Iacobeanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Fc DăRmĂnEşTi's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
