When Niculae Brad came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Untesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niculae Brad couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Arges Pitesti's zone, Niculae Brad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Busuioc came out of the goal and Niculae Brad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olimpiu Budianu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Arges Pitesti's zone, Ion Dănălache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petrică Busuioc came out of the goal and Ion Dănălache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, Untesti's goalkeeper Remus Armanca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mircea Burca. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernest Siteavu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Remus Armanca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mircea Burca, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The goal made the score 3-1. 91 minutes into the match, Untesti's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Burca came free, but Remus Armanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Fc Arges Pitesti were victorious despite being under pressure from Untesti for much of the match.
